Click on Information, then Michigan motor vehicle code. Navigate to Chapter 324.8110 to 324.81150. Also you can call the Secretary of State at

1-517-322-1460 and request a vehicle inspection form TR-54 that details the equipment requirements.
Headlight (high beam and low beam)
Tires (1/32 inch tread, no exposed cord or tread seperation,
approved for highway use by D.O.T.)
Taillight
Exhaust system (good working order, no excessive noise or annoying smoke)
(Michigan has a 94 db limit)
Brakelight
Seat (permanently attached)
License Plate Light
Handlebars (not higher than 15 inches from seat)
Brakes, front and rear (adequate to stop and hold the vehicle)
Differential gear (three-wheeled vehicles only)
Rear view mirror on the left side (adjustable). Not required on vehicle if helmet has mirror.
No battery is required.
Bulb type aka squeeze or electric horn should work
